Baby Dani

Auntie Cindy and Baby Dani came to visit this past weekend from Alabama.

She is as cute as a button!

Griffin thought so too.

It is fun to have someone smaller than you around!

Tattoos!!

Griff loves his new ink (temporary, of course)

That's the face of Jerry Ellis, the owner of Building #19 (the company Michael works for)

This is a serpent (classic tat art) with the Building #19 spin.

A Brush with Stardom

Daddy took Griffin to the World of Wheels last weekend and he got to "meet" one of his favorite stars from the movie Cars - Mater!

Out of the Mouths of Too-Smart-For-Their-Own-Good Toddlers

One of my resolutions this year is to post some of the more entertaining conversations that Griffin and I have in addition to his photos. After all, he is 3.5 years old now, and he has plenty to say. Here are a couple from the past week.

In the car on the way home from school
V: How was your day today?
G: I was in Time Out.
V: Why?
G: I made a bad decision.
V: What kind of bad decision?
G: I made an unsafe choice.
V: I see. Who put you in Time Out?
G: Miss Suzie
V: Well, if you made an unsafe choice I can understand why she did that.
G: But Mommy, I DIDN'T agree with her.

Last night as I was lying beside him in his bed
G: Mommy, it is Daddy's turn to lie down with me
V: I know, but since I Daddy is taking you to school tomorrow and I won't get to see you in the morning, couldn't I stay here for a few minutes?
G: (while holding my face between his two tiny hands and looking deeply into my eyes) Mommy, I love you BOTH, but you have to listen to what I tell you. It is Daddy's turn.
V: OK
So I left and sent Michael in to lie down with him. 5 minutes later as I am sitting in my own bed watching television Griffin comes padding down the hall and climbs into bed beside me.
V: Hey Griff, what are you doing?
G: I knew you would be lonely, so I decided to sleep with you!

Happy New Year!

January 1st (in addition to marking the beginning of 2008) was Griffin's "half birthday". Here he is getting ready to blow out his candle!
